TRUZH operates an online marketplace on which registered users list, discover and exchange second-hand items locally. TRUZH acts solely as an intermediary and is not a party to any transaction between users.
TRUZH does not own, inspect or verify the items listed on the platform. Buyers and sellers deal directly with one another and are responsible for their own agreements.
To use TRUZH you must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts.

When you create an account, you agree to:
You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account. Each person may hold only one account unless TRUZH has agreed otherwise in writing. We may suspend or close accounts created with false or misleading information.
When you publish a listing, you confirm that:
The following may not be listed on TRUZH:
TRUZH may remove any listing that breaks these rules. The seller is informed of the removal and the reasons for it.
Some features, including access to Community listings, require verification of your affiliation with a participating university or workplace, normally through an institutional email address.
Clans are private trading circles created and managed by an administrator. Membership is by invitation or approval, and any personal email address may be used. Clan administrators moderate their group in accordance with these Terms.
TRUZH may ask for additional verification where the law requires it or for safety reasons. If it is not provided, access to some features may be limited.
Online payment is not yet available. Buyers and sellers pay each other directly, in person.
TRUZH provides the listing, the Community verification, and the in-app chat. It does not process payments, hold funds, or operate any escrow, guarantee, or refund scheme, and it charges Users nothing. Payment is settled directly between the buyer and the seller by a method they agree between themselves. TRUZH is not a party to that payment and is unable to recover, reverse, or refund it. Where members arrange carriage privately, the contract of carriage is between the sender and the carrier; TRUZH does not arrange, pay for, insure, or guarantee delivery. Additional payment and delivery options are in development and will be announced when they become available.
Account creation, listing, and the completion of an exchange are free of charge, and TRUZH takes no commission on any transaction. Should optional paid services be introduced, the applicable charge will be displayed in full before any payment is confirmed, and these Terms will be amended on not less than fifteen days' notice.
Users must not:
Breaches of this section may lead to suspension or closure of the account, in proportion to their seriousness.
Anyone can report content they consider illegal or contrary to these Terms using the Report button on every listing, profile and message, or by writing to contact@truzh.com. We review notices diligently and inform the person who reported of the outcome.
Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act) applies to the Platform. Users are informed of any restriction imposed on their Content or account, given a statement of reasons, and afforded access to an internal complaint-handling system for a period of not less than six months from the decision.
TRUZH holds the rights in the platform, including its design, software, name and logo. The TRUZH name and logo are the subject of the trade mark filings listed in the Legal Notice.
When you publish content (such as photos or descriptions), you grant TRUZH a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display and reproduce it solely to operate and promote the platform.
You keep ownership of your content and are responsible for having the right to publish it.
TRUZH may suspend or close accounts that:
Accounts and listings may be restricted without prior notice where this is necessary to stop serious or illegal harm; in every case the user is informed of the decision and the reasons for it. You may close your account at any time by writing to contact@truzh.com.
Users are responsible for understanding and discharging their own tax obligations in their jurisdiction of residence. Council Directive (EU) 2021/514 (DAC7) requires platform operators to report specified seller information to the competent tax authority once prescribed thresholds are exceeded. Because TRUZH does not facilitate or receive any payment between Users and derives no consideration from their transactions, no reporting obligation arises at present; this position will be reassessed before any payment facilitation is introduced. Sellers who become reportable will be notified in advance and asked to supply their tax identification number.
If you are unsure about your tax obligations, consult a qualified adviser in your country of residence.
Where a User sells in a professional or commercial capacity, Regulation (EU) 2019/1150 applies. Business Users are entitled to transparency as to the principal parameters determining ranking, access to an internal complaint-handling system, and not less than fifteen days' notice of any material amendment to these Terms. Business-related complaints are received at business@truzh.com.

TRUZH provides the platform as it is and as available.
To the extent permitted by law, TRUZH is not liable for:
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intent, fraud or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law, nor does it affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
These Terms are governed by Spanish law, the operator being established in Spain and the country-of-origin principle in Article 3 of Directive 2000/31/EC applying. Nothing in this clause deprives a consumer of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence under Article 6(2) of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008, and a consumer may bring proceedings in the courts of their domicile under Article 18 of Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012.
Users resident in the European Union may consult the list of certified consumer dispute resolution bodies maintained by the European Commission at https://consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu/dispute-resolution-bodies, or contact the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net). Where a complaint concerns a restriction imposed by TRUZH on a User's content or account rather than a consumer purchase, the User may also refer the matter to an out-of-court dispute settlement body certified under Article 21 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act). The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 by Regulation (EU) 2024/3228 and is no longer available.
TRUZH may amend these Terms. Material changes are announced at least 15 days in advance by email or by a prominent notice on the platform. If you do not agree, you may close your account at any time before they take effect. Where the law requires your express consent to a change, we will ask for it.
Write to us about any clause of these Terms.
